When it comes to Google apps, most of us know those that come standard
on nearly each Android phone sold in the West. While the likes of
Chrome, Gmail, Maps, and YouTube are practically essential to many
users, those bright minds at Mountain View have developed a pretty cool
bunch of apps that not many users know about because they shy away from
the spotlight, tucked inside Google's developer page in Android and iOS'
 app stores.
We showed you five of these
Today, we rounded up five more of our favorite hidden Google gems for
you to try out. You might be pleasantly surprised at all the nice stuff
the company offers on both platforms for free!
1. YouTube Creator Studio
The official YouTube Creator Studio app is designed to make managing
your YouTube channel faster and easier on mobile devices. With it, you
are able to check out your stats, moderate comments, get notifications
for changes and events, track performance stats, manage playlists and
update video details and monetization settings on the go.
2. Google Express
Did you know that Google has a shopping app? Available to U.S. users in
Boston, Manhattan, Chicago, Washington, SA, LA, most of Arizona,
California, Nevada, and parts of the Midwest, Google Express lets you
place online orders from popular stores in your area. Deliveres can be
scheduled on today or next-day basis, and the products you buy the most
can be re-ordered in a jiffy. Prices at Google Express are the same they
are in the physical stores, and delivery starts from $5 unless you
subscribe for a membership. New users can get 3 months of free delivery
on eligible orders, so Google is definitely encouraging you to try
Express.
3. Intersection Explorer
Intersection Explorer is a navigation app for visually impaired users.
It speaks out the layout of streets and intersections in the
neighborhood you are in as you touch and drag your finger around the
map.
4. Hands Free
Hands Free is a mobile payments app that lets user pay in stores without
reaching for their phone or wallet. Just say “I’ll pay with Google” at
checkout and the app should work its magic! Your identity is confirmed.
the charge is processed securely, and purchase details are sent right
to your phone. We imagine having the app fail on you is quite awkward,
though!
5. Who’s Down
Who’s Down is a social app that's supposed to make organizing
get-togethers with your friends easy. Rather than go through endless and
messy group conversations and texts, you can suggest ideas for things
and send them to your friends as notifications. They heart your idea if
they’re interested, and you can do the same if you are down for their
ideas. This clutter-free socio app is pretty cool, but it requires an
invite that you can request within it.
